Great Stories.” “나는 ‘Great Stories’라는 웹사이트에서
아이디어를 얻었거든.”
Penny blinked. Penny는 눈을 깜빡였다. “Wait. Great Stories? “잠깐. ‘Great Stories’라고? That’s the website where I read Sunny
the Brave! 그건 내가 ‘Sunny the Brave’를
읽었던 웹사이트야! It was about a cat in a fire, but I changed the cat to a dog and the
fire to a storm.” 그 이야기는 불이 난 곳에 있는 고양이에 관한 것이었는데, 나는 고양이를
개로 바꾸고 불을 폭풍우로 바꿨어.”
I told Penny, 나는 Penny에게 말했다. “I changed some things, too. “나도 몇 가지를 바꿨어. I thought it was fine if I didn’t
copy everything exactly .” 나는 모든 것을 정확히 베끼지만 않으면
괜찮다고 생각했어.”
“Me, too. “나도 그래. I didn’t think it was wrong. 나는 그것이 잘못된 거라고 생각하지 않았어. I just wanted my story to sound good,” 나는 그저 내 이야기가 멋지게 들리길
원했을 뿐이야.”
Penny said. Penny가 말했다.
“But both of our stories sound like the one from the website,” “하지만 우리 둘의 이야기는 모두 그 웹사이트에 있는 이야기처럼 들려.” I said. 내가 말했다.
We looked at each other. 우리는 서로를 바라보았다. “Do you think that’s a problem?” “그게 문제가 될까?” she asked. 그녀가 물었다.
“I’m not sure. “잘 모르겠어. We didn’t mean to copy. 우리가 베끼려고 의도한 것은 아니었잖아. But… it’s not really our own
idea, either ,” 하지만… 그것은 정말로
우리만의 아이디어도 아니야.” I said. 내가 말했다. There was a long pause . 긴 침묵이 흘렀다.
