The Emergence of the Superpower
By the early 20th century, the United States of America emerged as a superpower.
During this time, the countries of the world began to come together in international organizations, and they needed to be able to communicate.
So they decided that English would be the language used in international interactions.
In the 1980s and 1990s, the computer revolution began all over the world, which was due to the American technology and innovation.
New words were created to refer to new concepts and devices (e.g. Internet, website, laptop, etc.) and some existing words took on new meanings to become the names for a number of those new devices (e.g. computer, mouse, hardware, etc.).
So it is logical that the language of the computers is English.
