I don’t think so.
Technologies have
advanced to the point that humans may soon be able to live on Mars.
One new
technology to be developed hopes to produce potatoes on the Red Planet.
It will potentially enable space-grown potatoes to be more nutritious and productive and have
more parts that can be eaten.
Without these kinds of technologies, astronauts
would not have fresh, healthy food for extended missions.
Being able to eat more parts will
also reduce food waste on Mars.
Living on another planet seems to be closer than one
might think.
