Surfyy Beach Cleanup Draws 200 Volunteers
Taesan Kim, June 15, 2025
Over 200 volunteers eagerly participated in a beach cleanup event at Surfyy Beach on June 14.
The event was organized by the Surfyy Beach Community Association, highlighting the importance of protecting our coastal environment.
Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds gathered at the beach early Saturday morning to make the beach spotless.
They collected plastic bottles and bags, food wrappers, and even a few old tires wherever they spotted them.
Local businesses supported the event by offering free water and discounts to the volunteers.
The Surfyy Beach Cleanup is a great illustration of what can be accomplished when a community comes together.
Provided that such events are held more often, our beaches will remain clean and healthy for everyone.
A newspaper article deals with important events based on accurate, factual information. It typically consists of a short, clear headline, a lead paragraph that gives a brief summary of the event, a body of the report with detailed information, and a conclusion, often visually
aided by photos of important moments from the story.
