Cultural heritage conservators are specialists protecting and preserving
artistic and cultural monuments, known as cultural heritage.
They focus on preserving a wide range of objects found in museums, libraries, and
historic sites, as well as the internal and external elements of historic
buildings.
Their main objective is to keep cultural heritage in the best
possible condition, by analyzing its current condition, understanding
the factors of its damage, carrying out conservation, and implementing
preventive measures against future damage.

What qualification do you think is needed to become a cultural heritage conservator?
I think a master’s degree in conservation is needed to become a
cultural heritage conservator. I think strong technical skills for
cleaning, repairing, and preserving monuments would be necessary
as well.
